THE SPRING FEVER ISSUE

Skin & Colour

I have been thinking about this for some time now. Why are people so set in on colour, none of us even share the same skin. Every person on earth has a right but sometimes the past can create a barrier between different people and cultures. We all judge upon one another call each other names everything has to do with the colour of a skin. I'm not saying go beyond your morals and date other races, what I'm trying to say is, get to know a person from a different race, you just might find yourself with a new friend.

My sister and I share the same blood, the same skin colour but not the same skin. None of us are so identical that we are 100% alike. Yet every baby is born from a womb and has to learn to crawl, walk and become human, every child develops their own personality, every teen develops their own future and every adult works towards that future. Not all of us are even comfy in our skins and this has nothing to do with pimples, scars or even blackheads.

What if a woman is successful in her career but cries herself to sleep as she has no one. What if you are trying hard to fit into society but society spits you out like a mauled bubblegum. We might be born in the wrong bodies or simply we just think we are completely lost in our own skins. When somebody says I see you, what do they really see. The body is like an avatar its empty and lifeless, without a driver.

We have to fight for human rights, we have to fight to be gay, to be different. Trans genders have a battle to be accepted for who they are. What about hermaphrodites, why are these people still hiding away? Is it that they are too scared to come out, no hermaphrodite asked for the body they have, but they still have to fight just to have friends that will accept them for who they are.

Let's take a stand now and form a web. Let's all fight for the right reasons and not for what the past created as it is the future that is awaiting us all.
