Social Butterfly: A day at the office

They say that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Never has that been more true if you look at the amazing job I have. A typical day at the office for me, is partying my ass off, going to events and weekends away, and best of all I get to fuel my passion by writing about it all.



So, my latest assignment was to cover a ladies only event and have as much fun as possible. I did just that! I could not have done so without Butchie and Captain Koek, and together we turned Edenvale into Jonesbay! When we arrived it was a bit empty, which is not unusual, as it was FREEZING, but the hosts anticipated the temperatures and greeted us with a tot of Sherry.


The evening started off a bit slow, so we had to make due with shooters and finding ways to entertain each other, and nobody does it better than the Captain. Had a good laugh when she put a rather unsavoury character right back in her place and the bosslady enjoyed that as well. CHEERS Koek! Jagerbombs, Po10C, Red squares, hunters extreme and Caramel Voddies were the order for the rest of the evening as we met some funky new people while waiting for the party to gather some steam!

When the DJ arrived then the real fun started. The music was awesome, the crowd was amazing, the dancefloor was packed and we had an amazing time shaking our booties to jams from LMFAO, Pitbull, J-Lo and David Guetta just to mention a few. Also saw a few familiar faces that lit up the joint. There's nothing like a good jam with some good mates. Party Party Party!!!

And of course, any social butterfly cannot fully enjoy her evening out, without a bit of romance on the side...and judging by all the couples kissing, cuddling and dancing suggestively, I'd say a great evening was had by all!

So, until Friday, when we hit the clubs again for the highlight of my social calendar, I will leave you with the wise words of Captain Koek...
