So, what’s there to do on a Thursday night? In terms of
alternative entertainment, something unique, but mind-blowing at the same time?
That’s exactly what we got when myself, T, Sluticia and my assistant, Mel, went
to check out all new all girl band, Spilled Pink!
The venue was quite cute, for lack of a better description.
It’s small and intimate inside, although the space used for the stage was a
little disproportionate. The décor very arty, with paintings and graphic art on
display and on sale at Amuse café. And the outside section is ideal for a “kuier”
and a few drinks with your mates.
I must admit it was a little weird seeing our friend Lizz
behind a guitar instead of behind the decks as we’ve come to know her, but what
a pleasant surprise. Lizz and Mickey together on guitar and vocals is a rare
treat. Myself and T are both seasoned rockers and the first thing I heard T say
when they started playing, was WOW, they’re amazing!

The Butterfly chart:
Venue: cccc
Crowd: ccccc (It was mainly Modern L crew, so
we’re a little biased)
Bar: ccc
Vibe: ccc
Entertainment:
ccccc
Song of the night: Trane (of course)
Even though this was an unforgettable experience, I do have two
complaints:
Firstly,
from what I experienced, and from what I could gather from the crowd, was that
the Spilled Pink set was way too short. We wanted more, a lot more! Then, they
didn’t play my favourite song, but they promised to make it up to me, so I’ll
hold them to that!
